For Valentine's Day, I spent the weekend at the beautiful Casa Del Mar hotel in Santa Monica. One of the fave malls in LA is The Grove, home of Nordstroms, the new American domain for Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics. Charlotte Tilbury makeup is a rarity--especially in my new desert home of Phoenix--and I was super excited to get my hands on the above items. This week, I'll share my thoughts on the 3 things (Cheek to Chic Blush, Feline Flick Eyeliner and K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick) I purchased from the British makeup artist of Kate Moss fame.
First off, the packaging for the Cheek to Chic is outstanding. The deep red hue of the compact coupled with the art deco details remind me of the Gilded Age. With cheeky shade names (ex. Sex on Fire, The Climax), I settled on the Ecstasy and was suckered in with its peachy pink hues.
The colour payoff is subtle so it's perfect for everyday wear. The blush adds a fresh glow to your skin and I apply it to the top of my cheekbone for lustre.
Looking at the ingredients, there are the usual ingredients commonly found in a power--talc, silica, talc, corn starch, etc. Dimethicone is also present which may irritate skin over time.
While I'm not super blown away by this product, it does a decent job and looks flattering on most skin tones.
