UPDATE: See what I got in my 2nd Dailylook Elite Box!
UPDATE #2: See my clothing stash from my 3rd Dailylook Elite Box!
Last week, I giddily signed up for the Dailylook Elite box using a promotion code delivered to my email. I saw a lack of reviews on the Elite box, so I decided to share my experience and first thoughts on this box.
Dailylook Elite is the fashion retailer's monthly subscription box of hand-picked fashion items curated by your personal stylist. It normally costs $20/month but the fee is waived for the first 3 months for the promo.
Prior to receiving the fashionable goodies, I took a lengthy yet fun quiz where I answered questions about my body type (hourglass), height and weight, celebrity style icons (Rachel Zoe, Aimee Song), among other things. After, I was sorted into Team Obsession. I waited a week until I saw these lovely items:
- Venetian Lace Skirt, $49.99
- Dailylook Zippered Woven Shift Dress, $64.99
- J.O.A. Sequin Button Back Top, $87.99
- J.O.A. Fringed Long Coatigan, $120.99
- J.O.A. Cable Knit Crop Sweater, $69.99
- J.O.A. Two Tone Chunky Sweater, $69.99
- Maison Scotch Skinny Artwork Pants, $134.99
- Karen Zambos Connor Pants, $164.99
When I received the box, it felt like Christmas! Also included in the box was a pricelist of the items (super important for choosing which item to keep), a bag for returns, prepaid return label and instructions. You pay for the items you keep and return the ones you don't. The $20 styling fee also gets deducted from the items you keep.

From a previous email, I already knew what was in it a few days leading up to the box's arrival (the team has since corrected this error so they don't ruin the surprise!). In the questionnaire, I informed them that I wanted to add more statement pieces to my wardrobe. Team Obsession definitely listened and gave me a sweet little letter offering tips on how to style specific items in the box.

I tried on everything and I immediately fell in love with the Venetian Lace Skirt and the Sequined Button Back Top (I love split backs!). Although I loved the Coatigan, I wasn't quite sure if I pulled it off and my cat Ninja eyed it carnivorously.
In the end, I decided to keep only the Venetian Lace Skirt, since I was looking for more feminine pieces in my wardrobe.

While some of the items weren't exactly the best quality, I would definitely recommend this subscription box. It's great for stumbling upon things you wouldn't normally think of getting for yourself.
I'll definitely continue to share my progress with the Elite box as my subscription goes on. Stay tuned!
