My second cup of Lady Grey tea. |
On Sunday afternoon, I had afternoon tea with my sisters and our mother. We spent the early afternoon at English & Miller, a charming English-themed restaurant run by British expats with a boutique showcasing English goods. Downton Abbey fans would love it! No, seriously. Lots of Downton Abbey merchandise was available at the boutique.
I ordered the Lady Grey tea, a less smoky version of the classic Earl Grey tea that is also a registered trademark of Twinings. It was served in a novelty Royal Albert Hall teapot. Along with the tea, my younger sister and I devoured the 3 tier display of savory sandwiches, scones and little desserts.
